to keep it coming ‘round
Let’s RECYCLE RIGHT by keeping items smaller than a credit card out of our recycling!
Items smaller than credit card size fall through the machines that sort your recyclables and are either lost or mixed up with the wrong type of recycling – ending up as contamination.
New changes to the recycling industry and far tighter controls on the level of contamination accepted means these small items need to go into your red lid bin.
Let’s not waste our efforts, keep your recycling contamination free to keep it coming ‘round.
Tip:
Take all lids off bottles, jars and containers.
Those smaller than a credit card go into the red lid bin while those larger can be placed into your yellow lid bin separately. Put any small pieces of paper and cardboard into your green lid bin.
